The Fort
Bend Citizens Responsibility to Themselves
As citizens we are entrusted with certain responsibilities.
We need to be more involved in our community if we expect to
grow in positive ways. A crucial step to becoming more
involved is to vote! Vote for school board elections even if
you do not have children attending Ft. Bend schools. Why?
Because the same children who live next door to you now will
one day grow up and be an adult in the community. The people
you choose to lead them will influence the way the children
will one day lead you. Vote in city council elections. City
council members are the ones who make crucial decisions on
behalf of your city on a day to day basis. Be informed of
their choices and their decisions. Voice your opinion,
wants, and desires, every time the polls are opened. People
will listen. Your community will listen.
The County Clerk's Responsibility
The County Clerk is responsible for the management of
records, fees associated with duties of the office such as
elections and marriage licenses, the recorder of documents,
elections, and a host of other responsibilities most people
do not think of until they need the services of the County
Clerk's office. The problem most people encounter is once
those services are needed, the public does not no where to
turn for answers. As County Clerk it would be my
responsibility to give you the access to information and
services you need efficiently and effectively.
My Responsibility to the Citizens of Fort Bend
My mission is to provide information, access, and quality
service to take Ft. Bend County. Our citizens should be
involved in all aspects of their communities in a way as to
hold all elected officials accountable. Elected officials
are there to serve the public. Fort Bend County Clerk is
beyond a job, it is a position of caring. When a term in
office comes to an end, the community should be able to see
a noticeable change for the better.
